Reliability

Bad Wi-Fi should not cost you a lead

Conference Wi-Fi is slow and the signal comes and goes. Scaniam is built for it. Survey answers, rep ratings and staff entries stay on the device when the connection drops, and send themselves when it comes back. A dropped signal does not cost you the lead.

What it does

Answers kept on the phone

The survey keeps each answer on the attendee's phone as they type. If the signal drops, they can keep answering and nothing is lost.

Sends itself when it can

If sending fails because of the network, the survey tells the attendee and sends itself when the connection returns, while the page is open. A retry never creates a second gift code.

Stations that keep working

The Sales Station and Host Station keep saves made with no signal on the device, show how many are not sent yet, and send them with Send now or when the signal returns.

Why

Why it matters

Booth Wi-Fi is shared by thousands of people, and phone signal inside a big hall is often weak. A form that freezes or throws an error at that moment loses the lead. The attendee walks away, and you never know they tried.

Scaniam tells people what is happening in plain words. When the signal drops, the attendee sees that their answers are saved on the phone. When sending is slow, the button says Still trying. When the network fails, the survey says it will submit automatically when the connection returns. People wait when they know their answers are safe.

Your team stays busy too. A rep can rate a lead with no signal and scan the next attendee. A staff member can save an entry and start the next one. The saved items send in the background, and only after Scaniam confirms an item arrived does it leave the device.

Steps

How it works

01

The attendee scans your QR code

The survey opens in the phone's web browser. It needs a connection to open.

02

Answers stay on the phone

Each answer is kept on the phone as the attendee types. If the signal drops, Scaniam shows that the answers are saved on this phone.

03

Sending waits for the signal

If sending is slow, the button says Still trying. If it fails, the survey sends itself when the connection returns, while the page is open.

04

Stations catch up

Ratings and entries saved at the Sales Station or Host Station with no signal show as not sent yet, and are sent when the signal returns while staff are signed in.

Best for

  • Busy expo halls with crowded Wi-Fi
  • Booths where attendees rely on phone signal
  • Teams who cannot afford to lose a lead mid-event

Not the best fit

  • Venues with no connection at all for the whole day (the survey needs a connection to open and to send)
  • Paper forms you plan to type in later
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Scaniam work offline?

Not fully. The survey needs a connection to open and to send. In between, Scaniam keeps the answers on the phone. If sending fails, the survey sends itself when the connection returns, as long as the page stays open.

What does the attendee see when the signal drops?

Scaniam shows that there is no connection and that the answers are saved on the phone. The attendee can keep answering. If sending is slow, the button changes to Still trying, and if it fails the survey says it will submit automatically when the connection returns, with a Try now button.

Can a weak signal create duplicate responses or gift codes?

No. A retry never creates a second gift code. When an attendee or a station sends the same response again, Scaniam keeps one response.

What happens at the Sales Station with no signal?

The rep can still rate the lead. The rating is saved on the rep's device and the rep can scan the next attendee. The scan screen shows how many leads are not sent yet, with Send now. Scaniam sends them when the signal returns, while the rep is signed in on that device.

How long are unsent entries kept on a station device?

Up to 24 hours. A lead or entry that is not sent within 24 hours is removed from the device, and the page says so. Signing in to a station also needs a connection.
